Our School
Our mission at Washington Elementary ensures all students will learn at the highest level while providing a safe and trusting environment.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a brand-new school year! At our small school with a big heart, we’re excited to begin this journey with you and your child. We deeply value the partnership between home and school, and we’re committed to creating a learning environment where kindness leads, community thrives, excellence is pursued, and results matter.
We believe every child brings something special to our school family. Our goal is to help each student grow — not just academically, but also as a confident, compassionate human being. Our teachers use engaging, research-based strategies to meet individual needs and build a strong foundation in key areas like reading, math, and problem-solving.
But just as important as academic progress is the development of character. Through our House Program and intentional daily practices, we nurture kindness, teach empathy, encourage resilience, and guide students in building positive relationships. These social-emotional skills are essential for success in school and life — and they’re at the heart of everything we do.
We know that strong community connections fuel student success. Your voice matters, your support matters, and your involvement makes a real difference. Together, we will help your child thrive — growing in confidence, capability, and joy.
Here’s to a school year rooted in kindness, strengthened by community, driven by excellence, and proven in results. Let’s make it our best year yet — together.
Sincerely,
Amanda Jackson
